Once the data for the knitted pattern have been designed with the pattern preparation system, they can be transferred via diskette to the SITEX CK control system, where they are prepared for output to the bending transducer modules.
When the needle cylinder rotates, driven by a SIMOVERT MICROMASTER converter, the bending transducers actuate the needles in accordance with the pattern of the knitted fabric. Various permanently stored pattern repeats are available directly on the controller for pattern changes. The incremental encoder is used to control the SITEX CK system with the actual value of the needle cylinder movement.
A SIMATIC S7-200 PLC processes further auxiliary functions and monitoring functions for the circular knitting machine and defines the setpoint for the drive.
